Sustainability is of key importance at Not Just Pajama. We are committed into making you feel sophisticated and comfortable, regardless if you are wearing our silk pajamas on the streets, or in the comfort of your own home, and ensuring that the garments you wear are made in sustainable and ethical conditions.

Not Just Pajama has been supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals since Day 1. Our values are integrated throughout our entire supply chain, from sourcing to distribution, ensuring that each member of our community is enjoying suitable working conditions.

Our long-lasting unique pieces of clothing are made in  small-scale factories, where organic fabrics and traditional know-how are at the center of every single creation we make. What drives us is our hope to make a better future, through ethical, responsible behavior.

Happy Community

Not Just Pajama stands firmly against child labor and human trafficking. We value and respect human rights and dignity without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social status. We strive for our content to represent diversity. In our internal policies we follow basic principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations.

We make sure all of our community evolves in good working and living conditions. We support gender equality. The founders of our brand are women. 80% of our staff members are female, their wages are similar to non-female employees. In middle-top management positions, we have more than 90% of female leaders. We have immigrants / handicapped / LGBTQ+ employees.

Our Makers & Factories

We are committed to preserving exceptional SILK craftsmanship. All our products are handmade by our highly skilled Makers at our own workshops based in Suzhou & Shanghai, China. A minimum of equipment is used in its production which allows us to reduce carbon emissions.

Our Makers are some of the most talented, dedicated and caring craftsmen and women. They are the heart of Not Just Pajama and many have been with us since we first opened our Workshop in 2018. They have over 20 years of experience in silk industry and are the reason we’re confident that our silk pajamas will bring you great wearing experience and joy. Our Makers love what they do and do what they love. Because there is something truly wonderful about creating a set of silk pajamas and bringing the most beautiful & comfortable thing to the world.

Our factories have been certified TüV SüD, an internationally recognized German safety and quality inspection provider, making sure that our workers are safe and protected.

Our Fabric & Materials

Our garments are made of 100% natural fibers - Silk, which is considered as sustainable fiber, which is a renewable resource, can biodegrade, and uses less water, chemicals, and energy than many other fibers. Silk is also an organic fiber with a relatively low carbon footprint, low soil and low land impact.

As in everything we do, we carefully consider where we source our materials from. This is why our products are made from only the highest quality, ethically sourced silk, certificated with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. We only use 100% natural & toxic-free dye that is free of any harmful pollutants. We encourage all our suppliers to report with certificates about the origin of the materials, as well as its environmental and social impacts. We have selected only a few fabric suppliers, which makes it fairly simple for us to control the quality of materials our clothes are made of.

Mulberry silk is known for its breathability, hypoallergenic, and moisture retention. Silk is almost friendly almost everyone with many Surprising Benefits.

Zero-Waste & Make It Last

Not Just Pajama is committed to "Zero Waste". At its core, zero waste takes aim at our “take, make, and waste” approach to production and consumption, encouraging a more circular approach to the way we use resources.

To reduce clothing and textile waste, carbon footprint and other negative environmental impacts, we utilizes the leftover fabrics to maximum by making them into Silk AirPods case, Silk Scrunchy, silk storage bags and silk scarves.

Meanwhile, we believe in “Buy Less, Choose Well, Make it Last” - that's why our garments are high-quality, classic and multipurpose. "Make it Last" is another way to practice Zero Waste, and is a key on responsible fashion, as every extra season we use a garment we reduce its carbon & water footprint of around 20-25%.

The last but not the least, Not Just Pajama encourages her customers to follow 5R rules: four actions should be taken, if possible, prior to 'recycling': refuse, reduce, reuse, repurpose, and then recycle.

Our 100% eco-friendly packages not just help us to ship your silk garments safely, but also provide you with the opportunity to celebrate daily life, while practicing sustainability in daily life. But we know your silk pajamas wouldn't stay in the beautiful box for long, since it will never leave your body!
